What a place for a picnic!

After visiting Persepolis, our group went on to Naqsh-e Rustam, the Achaemenid necropolis 12 km from Persepolis. Before we took a closer look at the four tombs high up in the cliff wall, we had a picnic which our driver had organised for us - cakes and water melon, coffee and tea. So we got to enjoy two nice things simultaneously - good food and drink, and a splendid view of what was to come!

I'm gone from my computer for a few days!

It is time to regain strength.
I see that all the ladies have their heads covered. "No, it's not an imposition, they go like that because they want it" ... hmm, OK, I see.
