this is a black-and-white view of the 'house on the hill', overlooking trition lake. triton himself is visible in the reeds, at the left-hand end of the bridge.
the original house dates from the 13th century, but was extensively altered during the 18th century. a fire in 1974 devastated the building, so that only the outer walls remained standing. but it rose like a phoenix from the ashes, as it was completely renovated in 1996.
