some memories i brought back from this year's skiing trip to the south tyrolean dolomites - (last year's series starts here!)
(3) the gentle slopes of pralongià
this plateau above corvara offers excellent and easy skiing - just the right thing for getting accustomed to the snow and the speed again - and to the fact that your feet are suddenly almost 6 ft long!!!
besides, the view towards marmolada, at 3,343 m the highest point in the dolomites, is breathtaking. for those who are 'comfortably well off', a helicopter stands ready to take them from cherz on pranlongià to the glacial slopes of marmolada ... it's also possible to get to marmolada entirely on skis from corvara, but that takes longer, of course, and requires taking off your skis and putting them on again several times ...
