uniformed "french" officer pointing towards the harbour of louisbourg, where the english were expected to attack. however, the enemy troops came "from behind", from the land side, across the frozen marshes. the french were completely taken by surprise and surrendered the fortress without firing a single shot ...

in order to adjust an image to your screen, do this:
hold the Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
hold the Ctrl key and press number 0 to return to your original setting.
